I spent a couple nights leading up to the day going through all the clothes and making cute price tags and such for them all and then when Saturday came around I spent the entire day gathering all the necessary things, hanging, steaming, and organizing. I honestly couldn't believe the amount of prep time it all took; we got done with everything at about 10pm and then went to bed around 11:30 and were up at 1:45am to head down to Pasadena for our set-up time. While setting up was a bit hectic, our space turned out quite lovely and I was lucky to have the amazing help of Anthony and Sheri & Tod, who sold some of their vintage housewares there at the space also so it was a win for us all!
It was so incredibly hot this weekend and by the end of the day I was just a hot, sweaty, dirty mess...I really did feel quite bad for my poor 1950's gingham dress. But, I met so many interesting people, and sold some great pieces so overall it was a great thing to experience. Now I can check that off my list and stick to selling on etsy, which by the way is on "vacation" right now until I go through all my inventory again, improve my shop's appearance, re-shoot, and list these vintage lovelies.
I'll start with the first photo of the day; since we got up at such an ungodly hour I of course did not have the time to get all fancied up so this is how a gal must get ready for the day, crouched down on the floor with only mascara and red lipstick in tow, but hey, that's all a girl really needs anyways!
