Standing Still

Right across from one of our favorite Sunday stroll spots was a large field of lemon trees where squirrels had always scurried about.  Well, this week, while the squirrels were still scurrying, the lemon trees were no longer;  we were sort of surprised to see they had all been cut down and tossed into strange piles throughout the field, but this forest-like field that was now in front of us was too good not to spend some time exploring.  So, Anthony got out his favorite WWII bomber jacket, I put on my vintage riding boots and by dusk my hands were as dirty as ever from picking plants along the way and my boots were bathed in dirt.  But my philosophy is this: if your boots ain't gettin' dirty, you're not adventuring hard enough.
