Glögg, The Perfect Holiday Drink

For those of you who follow me on instagram, you've already seen a few peeks at our homemade glögg shenanigans that we made on Christmas Eve & Christmas evening, but here's some more photos, because well, it all just looked so pretty!
If you haven't heard of it or had it before, glögg is a mulled wine with a delicious blend of spices and served warm, most popular in Sweden during Christmas-time.  Last year after one of our dear Swedish friends had served some at a little Christmas get-together, Anthony and I fell in love!  This year, by the time we got to World Market they were already sold out of the pre-mixed glögg so we decided to make it from scratch, which turned out to be so much fun anyways!
Most recipes for glögg are pretty much all the same, and we went ahead and followed this standard recipe that Anthro posted, and my oh my was it delicious, and its ingredients so very photogenic!

  1. Glögg is the best holiday treat I think! In wintertime the swedish grocery stores are filled with different glöggs. My favorite this year is probably saffron :)

    1. Oh that sounds absolutely delicious!! Where I live in Southern California, the few stores that typically carry it during Winter time were all sold out so quick this year! But, it was quite lovely making it from scratch actually!
