Okay, so Winter really hasn't shown itself at all here in Southern California, but, Anthony and I do get up fairly early on our days off so that we can enjoy some breakfast together before the crowds of people descend on our usual cafe, and it's also just nice to get the most out of our day by starting it early! We've been lucky enough to have a few colder mornings here and there last month that you can bet I definitely took advantage of! I've got my little collection of scarves and boots going now and often times look and feel silly wearing them out when there's not a cloud in the sky and it's reaching above 70 degrees outside...which is what it's been like for the last few weeks. So, on this fine morning back, it was actually cold enough to layer up a bit and I enjoyed every second of it and really love this outfit I chose. Oasap sent me this lovely brown skirt that's nice and thick and has the most perfect A-line cut; I paired it with a simple black knit scarf, a striped top, and my favorite vintage boots.
After a full morning and afternoon out we ended our night with a movie at this adorable old theater up in the hills where we watched the Cohen brother's new movie, Inside Llewyn Davis which has become Anthony's new favorite and one that I most certainly love and recommend as well; it's set in the early 60's and the saturated cinematography and of course the fantastic folk music was just so, so good, we've seen it twice now actually!
