London - Part 1

Well hello there!
It's been quite some time since my last post indeed; I definitely had planned on getting in at least one quick post a week on here a week but really have found that I just haven't had the time.  But, I did have some time when I was in Barcelona over a week ago to go through some of my hundreds of photos we took in London, which was our first stop of our journey, and decided to take some time now to put together a proper post here!  To stay up to date on my European adventure be sure to follow me on instagram here as I post at least a couple photos on there a day!
It was quite the windy cold day when we arrived and right after dropping our suitcases off at the hotel, changing my outfit, and re-applying my red lip, we jumped on the district underground line and went straight to see Big Ben, and my was he grand!  I feel like everyone always says that these main monuments are smaller than they thought they'd be or not as grand as everyone hopes, and to be honest, I really wasn't overly excited about seeing Big Ben or everything in the Westminster area at all but once I got out of that tube station and turned the corner and saw Big Ben for the first time, I was literally speechless and so so overjoyed!  Being awake for over 30 hours with no rest at all isn't the most pleasant feeling of course, but being there and taking in all the beauty was the absolute best feeling ever and I ended up falling in love with London more than I really thought I could! We took things easy that first day/evening by exploring the area there, taking a ride on the London Eye, and ending with some pizza and drinks at a cute bar called Shaker & Company.
