Barcelona - Sangria Red

For our last day in Barcelona (which was back in February), I braved the cold to wear this amazingly simple, comfortable, and sultry sangria red colored dress that was certainly a head-turner (for reasons ranging from horror that I'd wear something that clung so closely to my body, sympathy for me being without a coat, and the regular ol' checking me out stare),  and made me feel extra Spanish-like, so I put my hair in a simple side bun, grabbed my Free People 'Matador' hat, and then threw on my American Apparel cape for an extra dose of Spanish-like style.
Since the Barcelona Cathedral was just a couple minutes from our hotel, we paid it a visit one last time and since it wasn't too crowded at all, I was happy to get in some nice photos inside too.  After that we spent more time strolling around the Gothic Quarter, which is something I came to absolutely love; there was guy playing Debussy's Claire de Lune on piano too and that sure did set a ever-so dreamy mood.  Then, after a nice long stroll making sure we went down all the tiny alleyways and whatnot, we walked over to visit La Sagrada Familia.  All the construction really does get in the way of good photos and I really wonder how long it's going to take them to finish it.  You can really see the difference in the last photo here between the old and new stonework, I personally love the old, ages stone rather than the newly painted areas of course, but overall it was a beautiful place to see for sure.

  8. Beautiful photos of the church and wow, you look amazing in that dress. Let the people stare... they have nothing else to do.
It's a shame that the construction work get's the in the way, it's a little pet peeve of mine.

  9. Holy crap! I just found your blog and I love it!

That dress is absolute perfection. Any piece that can be so darn sexy without showing any skin is a piece to be coveted, for sure! Do you know if they still have it? I'd love to get my hands on one...

  10. Wow! You look stunning with that dress. I saw a bit similar dress from my place to go for vintage dresses at VintageSwank but I didn't bid on it coz I don't think I would look good with it. Wish I'm tall enough. :) You brought me to Barcelona with your lovely photos.
