Well friends, I am moving to New York!
I fell in love with the city basically the moment I first visited lase December.  And, since it's time for some major change in my life there couldn't be a better time to make the big move.  I will arrive in the city on January 14th and hope to do the whole couchsurfing bit until I find my own place somewhere in Brooklyn.  If any of you have tips/advice on how to survive in the city, I'm all ears.  I am both scared shitless and endlessly excited for this move and to be in a place where I can truly thrive!

  1. Dear Kiara, do you already know what your job at NYC will be? I'm asking because I have in mind that you just finished your bachelor in Philosophy and I'm wondering if you will do your master or find a place to work? Sorry for my englisch skills, as you may notice, I'm not a native speaker.

  2. I would like to use every topic from this website. In these topics I have found so many methods and they are making lot of services. Everything I have read from these blogs, and thanks for updating those services.

  4. Here is the tips you wanted:
-In NYC traffic is very tight so get use to subway.
-Let people exit train before you’ll try to get on. It’s very enraging when people don’t know the “rules” of subway.
-Also, New Yorkers love to give directions to random people, you could just stare on a map for a sec and someone will help you in short time. However, you can ask some newspaper vendor with directions.
    - New York is very expensive city, that's why you should pay more attention to different sales and discounts, something like discounts by etc.

  5. If you haven't decided on a major, then begin taking some starting classes in the departments you're considering. This will help you better insight into each topic.
